Where to find "Happiness"

This is something we can't buy in our daily grocery stores, malls, or anywhere. This is something many people try to get in their life. This is something, which cannot be seen only felt.

Before knowing "where to find happiness", we just need to know, why to find it.
Yes, why!

Happiness is the only thing, which keeps your body and brain healthy.
This is the only reason, I keep forward to you.
This happiness has a particular quality - Using this happiness, you can be healthy - You can do whatever you want (which is Good)- further increases happiness

You may think, why I mentioned "Which is Good" - Yes; It has some particular reason, I will explain it later.

Ok now, where to find this "Happiness"?
Is it depends on money?
I don't think so!. If it could so, then the richest man (by Money) in the world will be the happiest man in the world. But I studied in daily newspapers, blogs,e.t.c., that the richest man (by money) was not always good in their personal life.

Then...
It clearly knew that "Happiness" doesn't depend upon MONEY.
If you have more money or less money don't worry, happiness doesn't need it.

When I asked this same question to some of my friends, they said by spending money, we can get happiness, like favourite food, travelling to tourist spots, Consuming Alcohol, drugs, e.t.c.,.

Some may think, the above-said statement is correct.
Yes! At the first time, I too thought like that. But I am sorry, it is not.

All the feelings you get by doing the above-like things you will get
PLEASURE, not HAPPINESS.
I can't tell the exact difference between Pleasure and Happiness, but I can have someone to say it.
From the positivepsychology.com in the topic of "What is happiness"
They say
Happiness is a state characterized by feelings of contentment and satisfaction with one’s life or current situation.
whereas,
Pleasure is a more visceral, in-the-moment experience. It refers to the positive feelings we get from experiences like eating good food, getting a massage, receiving a compliment

Now I think you clearly understood about Happiness and Pleasure. Same to me, I too understood.

Here comes a very clear view of Happiness:
Happiness, while not a permanent state, is a more stable state than pleasure. Happiness generally sticks around for longer than a few moments at a time, whereas pleasure can come and go in seconds.

Still, now, we don't know where to find "HAPPINESS"
I wish to tell it here now.
Where - IN YOU - Yourself
Yes, Happiness lies in yourself
Think the days of your past whenever you felt happy!
Your Birthday(may not be the first birthday), Your Achievement in School studies, sports, on the day you won in any challenge, competition e.t.c.,.

See, Happiness lies in finding some purpose which is beyond oneself and increase life satisfaction. This doesn't finish like pleasure in seconds...
You will remember this happiness remains forever in your life.

Here comes the most important matter, Happiness depends upon Good and Bad!
To make this statement strong, I wish to take the support of an Ancient Saint Valluvar. He said - Virtue alone is happiness, all else is else, and without praise - Kural 39

By clear definition, Doing Good things to yourself and also to your surroundings is the only happiness in the world. All else is nothing.

Again remember your past, whatever things you did good, will remain greeny happiness in your life, such as Planting a Tree, wishing a couple in their marriage, Doing donations, and more.

Am I right!

Finally, I wish to finish this with a Quote said by Buddha:

Happiness is a choice, not a result;
Nothing will make you happy until you choose to be happy;
No person will make you happy unless you decide to be happy;
Your happiness will not come to you, It can come only from YOU.

Find Happiness and live happy with your loved ones.

Yours Lovingly,
Naga Surya K.
